There's no place like home.....

Greetings from a rainy Cedar Rapids!

You know, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz had it right when she said, "There's no place like home." I've spent the past 23 hours in airports and airplanes. Needless to say, it felt good to arrive in a damp and cool Cedar Rapids this evening. You know on a trip like this there's bound to be something that goes wrong. It wouldn't be right to end this journey without a little inconvenience.......I arrived in Cedar Rapids 2 hours late tonight but my luggage didn't make it.

No worries......I've been told things should arrive tomorrow. Of course there were forms to fill out and as we pulled into the driveway I realized that on the paperwork I put down my cell number for them to contact when they are ready to deliver the luggage so I can tell them where to deliver it to (depending upon the arrival time) and guess what??!!! Yep, my cell phone has a dead battery and is in my lost luggage! Do you suppose that small oversight had anything to do with a lack of sleep and 23 hours of airplane and airports??!!

Oh - well.....it'll all work out and I'm sure no one else wants to do 2 weeks worth of my laundry so I'm confident things will be returned to me tomorrow.

I just got out of the shower and sleeping in my own bed sounds incredibly wonderful right now so I'm going to head to bed. For all of you who wanted to see more photos they'll be coming. In Egypt I was unable to upload very many at a time as the system would kick me out. So sorry I wasn't able to share more while on the trip. But don't you worry, I'll be uploading all of them over the week-end and will share the link with you.
