Amazing will continue to do so. FUN in Cairo

Hi everyone,

Today was another incredible day that started out a bit interesting but got MUCH better as the day progressed.

We started with a visit to the US Embassy. The individual we were to speak with was unavailable so they had us meet with someone else. As some of you can imagine, a fill-in speaker isn't always what you were hoping for and that was the case with our visit.

We then headed to the Pyramids. There were many individuals surrounding, solicitating us to buy things. We got many great photos and I was on a camel! Amazingly enough the sky was clear and the sun was shining and the temperature was cooler than our previuos days. We were very lucky!

Michael and I then got into a taxi and headed back to the hotel as I had a 4 p.m. meeting with the Egyptian educators. Our taxi ride took 1.5 hours. It was unbelievable. The traffic was insane. The worst I'd seen it since arriving. We arrived at the hotel just in time for me to get into another taxi and head to the Fulbright Commission Office.

Reuniting with Salah & Alaa was incredible. It was so good to see them. We all visited about their experiences in America, what they gained from their time with us and what challenges they face now. There was some great ideas shared and we are looking forward to visiting Alaa & Salah's institutions before we head home.

We then enjoyed a traditional Egyptian dinner with all 17 of the faculty and most of our travel crew. Although I'm sorry to report that several of our group members have been sick.....probably due to the water. I started taking my perscription upon arrival and am thankful each morning when I wake up, and feel GREAT! I'm very cautious in what I eat and
